NASHVILLE, Tennessee (January 2017) — Bailey Southwell & Co., LLC (BSC) is pleased to announce the sale of Exam Coordinators Network, Inc. (ECN), an established provider of independent medical examinations (IME) and peer review services for the non-occupational disability, automobile, and workers’ compensation markets, to Genex Services, LLC (Genex), a leader in medical cost containment and disability management services. Financial terms were not disclosed.
BSC acted as the exclusive strategic and financial advisor to ECN.
With its renowned industry knowledge, extensive URAC-credentialed physician panel, and unique technology for IMEs and related services, ECN has established itself as an IME market leader. Through this acquisition, Genex significantly expands its national independent examination services division and further improves the cumulative expertise, diversified service suite, and depth of specialization it offers within the workers’ compensation, disability, and automobile markets. ECN is the latest of several recent strategic acquisitions by Genex that have enhanced its talented team and cemented its position as an industry thought leader.
“We retained Bailey Southwell because of the firm’s reputation in the healthcare cost containment space,” noted Richard Stopek, COO of ECN. “After working with the team, we know that their reputation is well earned. They are experts in the industry and the transaction process. We would recommend Bailey Southwell without reservation to anyone looking to sell their company or raise capital.”
